Terms of Service

Last updated 3 September 2026.

AutoDemand — referred to below as “we”, “us” and “our” — is a working draft, written honestly to describe the terms we actually operate under today. It hasn't yet been reviewed by a solicitor. Questions or concerns? Contact support@autodemand.co.uk.

What you're signing up for

AutoDemand is a stock and profit tracking tool for UK used-vehicle dealers — record what you paid and sold vehicles for, see real profit and ROI, verify MOT history and mileage, and get a monthly performance card. The platform also includes demand-scoring, seasonality and price-forecasting tooling, drawing on both real UK open-data connectors and our own scoring calculations, though these features are not part of every account's current experience. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

These terms form a legally binding contract between you and AutoDemand. This service is intended for businesses only. By signing up, you confirm that you are entering into this contract in the course of a trade or business and that you are at least 18 years old. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and similar consumer protection legislation do not apply to this agreement.

Trial and billing

  • New accounts get 14 days of full access with no card required.
  • If you choose to subscribe, billing runs through Stripe. You can view invoices and manage your payment method at any time from Settings → Billing.
  • If a payment fails, your account stays fully active for a 7-day grace period while we retry — we'll email you if this happens. Access pauses only if the payment still cannot be taken after that grace period, and resumes as soon as it is fixed.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Stripe's own billing portal, linked from Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not offer partial refunds for the remainder of a billing period.

Your data, your stock

Data you enter about your own dealership and stock — vehicles you add, purchase and sale prices, saved searches — belongs to you. We do not sell it or use it to compete with you. Aggregated, de-identified market statistics may inform figures shown to other dealers on the platform; your own stock and profit data never will be.

Intellectual property

AutoDemand — including the platform, scoring methodology, algorithms, software, data outputs, and all associated materials — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the platform for your own internal business purposes during your active subscription. This licence does not permit you to:

  • copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform or its outputs;
  • resell, sublicence, or offer access to the platform to any third party;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any part of the underlying software or data.

This licence ends automatically when your subscription ends or is terminated for any reason.

Acceptable use

Please use AutoDemand for its intended purpose — running your own dealership. Do not attempt to scrape, resell, or bulk-extract the platform's data, and do not use it to break the law. Accounts found to be doing either may be suspended or terminated.

Honest limitations

We are upfront throughout the product about which figures are drawn from real government and industry data sources and which are estimates derived from that data — we never blend the two without saying so.

The demand scores, seasonality indicators, and price forecasts that AutoDemand produces are generated by automated algorithms. They are tools to inform your thinking, not financial or investment advice. We make no warranty that the figures will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular stocking decision. Stocking decisions remain entirely yours.

We also cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We depend on third-party open-data sources, and if those sources are unavailable or delayed, our data may be affected. We will not be liable for losses arising from third-party data failures.

Our liability to you

We want to be straightforward about this. If something goes wrong on our end, we will try to make it right. But there are limits on what we can reasonably be responsible for, given that AutoDemand is a data and analytics tool — not a financial adviser — and stocking decisions remain entirely yours.

  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of stock value, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity — even if we were aware such loss might arise.
  • Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is capped at the greater of:
    • the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
    • £100.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for:
    • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
    • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
    • any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. We consider them fair given the nature of this service and the fact that stocking decisions remain yours to make.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • you breach these terms, including the acceptable use requirements;
  • a payment cannot be collected after the 7-day grace period;
  • we decide to discontinue the service — in which case we will give you at least 30 days' notice wherever possible.

If your account is terminated or you choose to cancel, you will have 14 days from the date of termination or cancellation to export any data you wish to keep. After that period, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data.

Force majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in providing the service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes failures of third-party data providers or open-data sources, internet or infrastructure outages, acts of government, and other events we could not have anticipated or prevented.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. If we make a material change — one that meaningfully affects your rights or obligations — we will:

  • update the date at the top of this document;
  • give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change takes effect.

If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may cancel your subscription before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date will be treated as acceptance of the updated terms. We will not make changes retroactively.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor business — for example, on a sale, merger, or restructuring — and will give you reasonable notice if we do. If you are unhappy with the assignment, you may cancel your subscription.

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these terms to anyone else without our prior written consent.

General

Severability. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, that part will be treated as removed, and the rest of these terms will continue in full force and effect.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the service. They replace any prior discussions, representations, or agreements — whether written or verbal — relating to the service.

Governing law and jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data. See our Privacy Policy for full details of what is removed and the timescales that apply.
